The Land
Great wines are not born in just any land. The alchemy between climatic and geological circumstances gives rise to a unique balance and takes shape in exceptional wines. In the heart of the UNESCO-listed Burgundy Vineyard Climats, our land gives life to prodigious vines.
The Wine Cellar
Luck smiled on us when we were offered the charming winegrower's house where my grandfather, Jean Mongeard, had vinified his first vintages in 1950. Such an opportunity could only be synonymous with pride and prosperity to continue writing the pages of a beautiful family history and build a remarkable cellar with renowned appellations.
The Prestige
Alongside my father, a renowned winegrower in Vosne-Romanée, and thanks to previous generations, I was raised with the greatest respect for vines and wine. Also accompanied by my husband Alexandre, head of cultivation and cellar manager, I have acquired solid experience in winemaking and commercial management. A perfect combo for beautiful sustainable winemaking practices and to guarantee the quality of our products.

The Exception
Respecting this land is the unique guarantee of an exceptional nectar.
The grapes, harvested at their peak, will then be transported to our wine cellars where the alliance between tradition, love of the terroir and innovation will take on its full meaning.
Our Signature
Our project is based on perfect knowledge of our exceptional terroir, combined with deep respect for the work of the land and the vines, as well as in-depth research into the most representative vintages of the emblematic terroirs of our beloved Burgundy.
Our signature is based on respect for traditional know-how, from working the vines to bottling: exception, love, work and patience guide our practices.

Alexandre joined my project, bringing his experience as head of cultivation and cellar manager, as well as his love of good wine and sharing.
Coming from one of the oldest winegrower families in Vosne-Romanée, it seemed only natural to me to put our two initials together in the name of Vaona, the Gallic origin of the name of our village, in recognition of the land that nourishes us.

Our terroir in Côtes de Nuits
A few steps from the Domaine, you can discover the marvelous Clos Vougeot castle, built between the 12th and 16th centuries, in Cistercian and Renaissance style, located in the heart of the Clos de Vougeot vineyard, on the Route des Grands Crus, classified as a historic monument since 1948.
Managed by La Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, which became the headquarters of the Climats de Bourgogne in 2015, when they were listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is an emblematic place of Burgundy vineyards and Burgundy gastronomy.
